About Kundalini Yoga & Meditation

Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic and spiritually focused form of yoga that emphasizes awakening the Kundalini energy—a latent, potent energy coiled at the base of the spine. Through a combination of physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), chanting (mantras), hand positions (mudras), and deep meditation, Kundalini Yoga aims to activate and guide this energy up through the chakras (energy centers in the body), ultimately leading to a heightened state of consciousness and awareness

Distinct from other forms of yoga, Kundalini Yoga has a strong emphasis on breath control and chanting, making it feel more ritualistic and mystical. It is less about achieving physical mastery and more about elevating one’s consciousness and tapping into the deeper layers of the mind and spirit.

Kundalini Yoga is also a yogic technology that was brought to the west specifically to help humanity navigate the intense and fast changes society would go through in the move to the digital era. Kundalini Yoga is often associated with the transition into the Age of Aquarius, a new era characterized by a shift in human consciousness and collective evolution. This concept, popularized by Yogi Bhajan (the teacher who brought Kundalini Yoga to the West in the late 1960s), suggests that humanity is moving away from the Piscean Age—a time marked by power, control, and external authority—into the Aquarian Age, which values intuition, personal empowerment, interdependent communities, and universal connection.
